Our company consists of 3 principal owners; the median age of our ownership is 43 years. We have 75+ years of combined experience, with an average investment of 3,600 man-hours by each, annually for 270,000 man-hours of total experience.

Our well-established owners have contributed 40+ combined years of their careers within the Denver Metro market and have resided with their families here in the Denver, CO for the last 10 to 15 years. The individual owners have also worked in California, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, Texas, and Mexico markets.  All three owners started at an entry-level position at the field level and mastered crafts in various labor, form-setter, finisher, operator, foreman, and field supervisor positions. All three owners excel in general supervision, estimating, and project management duties. Our senior owner has been in the industry for 40+ years and has held senior roles in estimating, project management, division management, general management, vice president, and president positions for both large publicly traded and privately held companies.

Concrete

Our primary focus is all types of civil concrete applications.  Whether you are looking for site concrete scopes for the installation of new curb & gutter, sidewalk, driveways, cross pans, valley gutters, PCC paving, reinforced concrete, retaining walls, slope paving, structural concrete, PCC paths/trails, concrete barrier, stamped concrete, colored concrete, light pole bases, chase drains, trickle channels, weir structures, cutoff walls, rain gardens, outlet structures, forebays, or a new back patio at your house, TALL Contracting and Consulting Co. (TALLCC) self performs it all.  We are also efficient in removing and replacing aged, damaged, and failed sections of existing concrete; not only replacing it but determining the root cause of the failure(s) and offering the proper solution to extend the life of the newly installed infrastructure.  We offer both hand pour and machine placement applications.

Grading

We have extensive geotechnical experience and knowledge in multiple grading and earthwork applications.  When we get invited to invest in preliminary stages of a customer’s project design, our experience allows us the opportunity to provide cost savings design value that promotes lower construction costs, shorter schedule durations, promotes quality, and project longevity.  We accel in all finishing grading applications though our employment of experienced craftsmen and technology.  We utilize our relationships with experienced and cost-effective mass grading and soil alteration entities to allow for turnkey sitework grading packages.  Our finish grading services compliments both our concrete and asphalt services by providing seamless scheduling transitions, managing grade tolerances to conform budgets.  TALLCC’s internal finish grade processes reduce manpower and equipment demands, internal demands and supports our strategic lime and cement partners (LTS/CTS).  This reduces resource needs, liability and allows our operations team to focus on maximizing all core business sectors while supporting a better cost option for our customers.   This allows TALL Contracting & Consulting Co. the ability to provide a safe project site, enhance production, promote quality and overall project performance. Asphalt (HMA)

Our owners are well versed in both the manufacturing and placement of hot mix asphalt (HMA).  We offer various options and methods for addressing repairs, maintenance, overlays, and new pavement construction for your project(s).   Whether it’s an Asphalt (HMA) or Concrete (PCCP) pavement surface, TALLCC’s philosophy is a bottom-up investment in the project pavement section.  The production of a performance-based pavement section begins by properly investing in the subgrade and underlying section(s) to compliment and support a quality, long living pavement surface.  We realize project budgets often constrain pavement section decisions but when given the choice, TALL Contracting & Consulting Co. will always choose placement of a free draining, non-plastic aggregate section with high R-Value material to reduce or eliminate perched moisture touching the flexible or rigid pavement section.  TALLCC is most effective when given the chance to be affiliated with the project design team but can also be effective in presenting modifications that compliment both quality and budget when the project design has already been established or published.  Examples of pre and post design integrations that TALLCC would promote when applicable include these options:  full depth recycle (FDR), cement treated subgrade (CTS), lime treated subgrade (LTS), creating a composite section by adding a minimum non-plastic high R-Value aggregate base product in full depth pavement applications and reducing overall HMA thicknesses to address budget.  These modifications can enhance overall performance life, quality, provide all weather access prior to installation of the final paving section and reduce or eliminate year warranty items.  

General Contracting

TALL Contracting & Consulting Co. offers a turnkey, full-service option for project delivery.  The ownership of TALLCC have led and been instrumental in the delivery of many successful and award-winning projects.  We utilize our extraordinary knowledge, experience, and the relationships with our many affiliates through teamwork to provide you a one stop shop performance option.  TALLCC primarily self-performs demo/removals, subgrade, aggregate base, finish grading, all site concrete, PCCP, pedestrian bridges, and HMA patching services; we also accel in design support, estimating, scheduling and project management for completing both self-performed activities as well as managed/subcontracted activities involving engineering, design, quality control, survey/staking, SWPPP, erosion control, mass grading, trucking, mass import/export, wet utilities, dry utilities, HMA, striping & signs, landscaping, irrigation, overhead sign structures, lighting, signals, ITS, bridges, traffic control, sound wall, gabion work, RSP, grouted boulders, drop structures, sheet piling, soil nails, etc.  Delivering projects “safely”, with a 0.0 R.I.R., “on time”, and “within every stakeholder’s budget”, is our project mission. Consulting

Our current vision is to drive most of our revenue through construction services using a compilation of self-performed services and managed services as defined above.  Yes, we have the capacity to self-perform a defined consulting element within our business; our preference is to utilize this in-house experience, mostly to promote our construction services product line(s).  TALL Contracting & Consulting Co. includes this service at “no cost” when TALLCC is contracted to perform construction services for our customers.  Otherwise, yes, we are available on a limited, per project basis, to perform consulting work for an agreed rate.  If you have a vision or just need to bounce around ideas and have some questions answered, seek out our expert consulting team.

Ideally, we would like our projects to be within a 50-mile radius of our primary construction office. Our service areas are primarily the Denver Metro area and surrounding markets. We work within a ten-mile radius of the I-25 corridor from Castle Rock to Fort Collins, but we will venture outside these regions on occasion.
